Doherty’s PTSA is sponsoring the schoolwide Reflections Contest again this year.  All of the entries will be turned in digitally.  The deadline for all submissions for our local contest is November 30. Prizes will be awarded for the top entries, and submissions go on to compete at the local and state level. Students can compete in more than one category if they wish, and there is even a category for students with special needs.

Remember to spend a lot of time on your Artist Statement because this is part of the evaluation process.

Each year, over 300,000 students nationally in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

The theme for the 2020-2021 program year is I Matter Because. Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.  Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.

Use the submission link below to enter. You can enter up to two categories.
