Hello Spartans! Homecoming is quickly approaching, so let’s meet the homecoming court!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ally Howard:

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A: Well, my favorite part of the year is around homecoming. I always loved the assemblies and every part of homecoming week. Now that I am a senior and I didn’t get to do much last year, I want to do everything I can!

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: My Favorite thing about Doherty is how no matter how different everyone is, we can all [get] together to have tons of fun and school spirit.

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: I am excited for the food trucks at the tailgate before the football game!

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A: My favorite color is orange.

 

Amani Kelly:

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A: I honestly did it just for fun… and to see if I could make it!

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: Probably how being involved and interacting with both teachers and students has really gotten me out of my shell.

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: I love to dance and it’s always fun getting ready for everything.

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A: I am a bad driver when I’m hungry!

 

Marynn Krull:

 

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A: I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and get more involved because this is my last year at Doherty.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: My favorite part of Doherty is definitely the school spirit. I love the energy at assemblies, how hype everyone gets during cheers, and how everyone comes together during Spirit Weeks.

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: I’m most excited for dancing with my friends, so hopefully the DJ is good!

What is a fun fact about you?

I have a twin brother who doesn’t go to Doherty.

Jenna Duke:

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A: Every year of high school I just thought it would be such a cool thing to be on the court…even if I didn’t win I just think it’s fun to go for things. 

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: Definitely my senior class and the colors aren’t too bad either. 

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: The assembly. They are always my favorite!

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A:  My favorite movie is Mamma Mia.

 

 

Aine Doty: 

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A: I thought it would be super fun to dress up all nice and I’m running with my boyfriend Brett Vacha because it’s our last year in high school so [why] not!

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: My favorite thing about Doherty High School is the people here, I’ve made so many good friendships and everyone is just cool to talk to.

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: The thing I am most excited for homecoming this year is dressing up and getting ready with my best friends, I’m also really excited to eat dinner before the dance because food is good!

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A:  I was born in Hawaii and I have a twin!

 

Ezra Stepanek: 

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A:  I just thought it would be fun to be on the homecoming court, and there’s not a lot of work to “run” for it, most seniors are eligible…Everyone else on the court is cool. Whoever wins deserves it. 

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: My favorite part is the people, especially my friends. 

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: Honestly, all of it. The assembly, the football game, and the dance. I’m excited to have fun during all of it. 

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A:  My guilty pleasure is Arby’s Greek Gyros. 

 

 

Trenton Rogers:

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A: I thought it would be cool to see if I could make it, and especially with my

 girlfriend.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: I love the spirit!

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: I am most excited to dance with Marynn, and enjoy my last homecoming. 

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A:  I sing in the choir. 

 

 

Shawn Lunsford: 

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A:  I decided to run because it is my senior year and the last of high school and I want something to remember for my later years of life that was such a big role for me. 

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: The spirit and the legacy my family has. 

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: The weekend and the which [which] are full of all the exciting things. 

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A:  I play the piano

 

 

 

Cole Russell: 

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?


A:
 I really wanted to run to represent! Almost every year our homecoming court looks nearly identical, so I ran with some of my friends in an attempt to diversify this year’s court. 

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: My favorite thing about Doherty High School is the amount of electives, clubs, activities, and other [things] that we have access to!

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A:  I am most excited to get ready, take pictures, and go out to dinner with my friends on Saturday!

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A:  A fun fact about me is that I am adopted!

 

Brett Vacha: 

Q: What made you decide to run for homecoming court?

A:  Honestly because of my girlfriend Aine wanted to run so I ran with her, and for the football team and just have a chance to be that guy in movies. 

Q: What is your favorite thing about Doherty?

A: The people and friends.

Q: What are you most excited about during homecoming night/week?

A: I’m most excited for the spirit week and the homecoming game and then just going out to [homecoming] with friends.

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A:  I love my family.
