Plenty of movies are coming out in 2024, and talk about these movies has spread across the school. Some students are excited for these movies; sure, some may not care, but either way there’s something for everybody. In this article I’ll review the ones every student in Doherty are ready for and happy to watch over the summer with their family or just friends, and help get everyone ready to enjoy their 2024 year.
Inside Out Two
Inside Out Two is coming out June 14th in theaters over summer break for Doherty students. Everyone is excited for this one, as it came out of the blue. It wasn’t a movie many expected to have a sequel, and yet it’s something to be very excited and ready for. Inside Out has always been known as an animated comedy about five main emotions that run through a girl named Riley’s mind. Helping her control her emotions and keep her in check though they fail to even work together throughout the movie, until the end when they all figured out how to help mix emotions and make even sad emotions a good thing. Inside Out two will introduce four more new emotions that Riley will get going into High School. How excited are you to see how Riley deals with these new emotions? How will these new emotions treat the old ones?
Despicable Me Four
Despicable Me Four coming out July 3rd in theaters. Another movie coming out during summer break, another 3D animation comedy about a longtime super villain Gru with millions of little yellow minions, known for his big ideas until he realized his ideas weren’t big enough. He decided to steal the moon and met three young orphan girls on his journey. Starting to get attached to them the more he got to know them, in the end becoming a hero and their forever dad, and after being convinced (more forced) to joining the Anti-Villain league since they were so fascinated by him and his work, is where he would be bound to find his current wife Lucy. And now they’re having their own baby and adding a new addition to the heroic family. Are we all ready to see this new baby? I know I am.
Joker: Folie à Deux
Joker Two is coming out October 4th in theaters, further into the next school year for Doherty students. The first Joker that came out a few years back was a darker film about mental illness that was shared through this version of Joker, a version many may relate to and understand. A failed two-faced comedian wanting to find connections as he runs through the streets of Gotham City. He has a second job of being a clown where he’s ridiculed, bullied and isolated. Slowly shoving him to madness as this happened. The new Joker will introduce a new character, a different version of Harley Quinn that Joker will finally be able to understand and get, this version of Harley Quinn will be played by Lady Gaga which everyone’s excited for! Now Joker won’t be so alone anymore.
DeadPool & Wolverine
DeadPool Three, another movie coming out during summer break in theaters on July 26th! DeadPool known as the Marvel Genius, who wears a red and black suit. Similar to Spider Man’s suit without the spider-like designs. DeadPool is a unique character who has mutant abilities. Basically unable to die, the first DeadPool was about him wanting to hunt down who forced these mutant abilities on to him. Wanting to be back to normal so he can live a normal life with his girlfriend that his mutant abilities soon became a problem too. And in DeadPool two, he meets a child in jail. Getting a liking for the child like it was his own son or a little brother and created a group of superheros to save the kid after he was kidnapped. Eventually saving him, and now this third DeadPool will introduce Wolverine back into the franchise (that Ryan Reynolds basically begged Hugh Jackman to come back for.) Teaming them both up together and creating an inseparable duo.
Are you ready to see these exciting movies?
