Halloween is just around the corner. What are your plans for this spooky season? Costumes are a huge part of the Halloween fun, from evil clowns to fairy princesses, everyone’s costume may be different. How else can we celebrate this dark and spooky night?
Costume Trends
Every year, there is always a trendy, new costume. For example, last year, Barbie themed costumes were all the rage because of the release of the Barbie movie. In 2017, Pennywise the clown, from the movie It, was a popular costume choice. This year, with popular new movies like Deadpool and Wolverine and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, we could expect to see some costumes based on these movies.
Of course, the classic costumes, vampires, witches, and devils will continue to be popular. What’s your favorite costume?
Movie Trends
Some Halloween movies have had a huge influence on anyone who celebrates Halloween. The original movie Halloween (1978), directed by John Carpenter, was so popular, it has 12 sequels! The next sequel, Halloween: A new Chapter, will be coming in 2025.
Other popular movies, such as Scream and Child’s Play also have many squeals. Some people are tired of all the sequels for the classic movies they liked, while others are happy with the amount of screen time their favorite characters have.
Decor Trends
The second most important part of Halloween is the decorations! Walking through the different neighborhoods, you can obviously pick out what houses are better. The folks with the twenty-foot skeleton and giant spiders beats the guy with a singular three-hundred dollar blow up decoration.
Pumpkins, both carved and not, are the most popular Halloween decoration, and you will be able to find them at most houses, from the classic pumpkin face, to an artistic, professional-looking face of scenery.
So, how are you celebrating this spooky season? Staying in with your favorite movies on, dressing up as your favorite character, or having the best-dressed house in the neighborhood? However you celebrate, have fun, stay safe, and happy Halloween!
