Even with signs of winter's pause in life, flowers begin to bloom on a cherry blossom tree near Doherty High School.

Some of the strangest life forms can be found sprouting in Colorado Springs, such as these wild mushrooms found at the base of a tree near Graner Music, right across from Doherty High School.

As summer approaches, indoor plants are available in stores. This is a photo of a Spathiphyllum, commonly known as a Peace Lily, being sold at My Floral Shop, located across from Doherty.

Despite many dead plants from winter, these Tatarian honeysuckle growing near Doherty High School's field can represent a new beginning in spring.

Among all the leafless trees scattered around Doherty campus, the tree at the west entrance has almost completely regained its beautiful green leaves.

On Doherty's campus, a vibrant bush of Weeping Forsythia flourishes beside Doherty high school, its golden blossoms beckoning with the promise of spring.

Flowers begin to bloom again on Giorgia Trocciola's memorial tree. Even though she is gone, her place in this world will not be forgotten.

The Japanese barberry located at the south entrance of Doherty, beautifully shows us how spring can restore the city with vibrant colors.

The little girl in the photo was edited in to "recreate" a car accident on Halloween. The background photo was taken on October 10'th, 2024, in Indiana by an anonymous photographer, but was used with permission. This was used to represent the statistic 386 car accidents on Halloween.

This 1997 image was created during an investigation into an outbreak of monkeypox, which took place in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), formerly Zaire, and depicts the dorsal surfaces of the hands of a monkeypox case patient, who was displaying the appearance of the characteristic rash during its recuperative stage.
