Five Spartans Win Big in State Reflections Contest

Doherty had five state winners for art, photography, and literature at the state level.

Please congratulate the following Doherty students for placing in the State Reflections Contest sponsored by the Colorado PTA!

 

Visual Arts: Gold Medal –  Megan Ekholm

Photography: Gold Medal – Brianna Bilyeu

Photography Special Artist: Silver Medal – Noah Taylor

Literature: Silver Medal – Vance Graham-Kennemer

Literature: Silver Medal – Sophia Witczak

 

These students placed in the Doherty Schoolwide Contest, the El Paso County PTA contest, and now at the state level. They will be honored at an awards ceremony in Denver on March 15th at the DoubleTree Denver Tech Center from 2-4 pm. Only one gold and two silver medals are awarded in each division for the state, and gold award artwork advances to the national judging. These students will be honored soon at a District 11 Board Meeting.
