Here at Doherty High School, we have a ton of clubs for you and your friends to join. We have clubs that involve playing with friends and playing against each other. We have Dungeons and Dragons, Pokémon, Magic, and the Tabletop Gaming Club. You can put your mind to the test and learn something new. Such as, Girls Who Code, or join a German club, yearbook, or writing club. There are a lot of clubs, and we hope you will try anyone of them.
If you are wanting to learn something new, you can try the German club to learn a new language.
You can be in the Drama club where you can act and be a total drama king or queen. You could become a good actor in the future.
You can do some work by joining a yearbook club where you can put hard work and effort into adding pictures and titles and making yearbooks for the end of the school year, making it special and putting hard work into it.
Have cards you want to trade or battle? Then bring your cards to the Pokémon club. It’s a good place to bring friends, make friends, and battle people for fun. There will be holiday events for battling friends. If you’re interested, go to room 210 after school from 3:20 to 4:30.
We have clubs that have a place where you can play video games and also make friends and challenge friends. The Good Game Club. This club is a place where you can bring your electronic devices, such as Nintendo Switches, your own laptops, Nintendo 3DS, anything you want to bring. They meet on Mondays through Thursday after school, 3:20 to 4:30 in room 205.
If you need to talk to someone about mental health, you can join the Mental Health Squad. This club can help you understand people’s health and the issues they might be going through and how to deal with the issue. It’s a place to feel comfortable, to feel what you may have in your life.
Put your mind on the test and join the Girls Who Code club. Make codes and put them into projects for a new game. A good way to learn how to make things and understand the qualities of coding. Make friends and work together on projects. The place to meet is room 107 on Tuesdays at lunch.
Love writing things? Then you can be a part of the Writing club. A club where you can write anything you want. It can be fantasy stories, history, and even about this school. It can be anything. You can meet them on Thursdays during lunch in room 110.
You can make robots in this school. Join the robotics club. You can code, make robots, cars, and new things that no one has ever seen before. It is a good way to work together and be friends with people. No requirements are needed. You can join on Thursdays during lunch or after school from 3:20 to 5:30 in room 151.
If you want, you can even host your own club. You can make it fun and thrilling, or make it something new for people to learn, hangout, play games, or do road trips. If you want to try a new club, head down to the office and grab a packet that will help make your club official.
There are a variety of clubs here at Doherty and we want the opportunity for you to join a club and make new friends and have fun at these clubs. It’s a good way to learn something new or play your favorite game with people, learn a new hobby, and being able to work together on projects or team games or anything. We hope you enjoy whatever club you pick, that you will have fun and make new friends and bring friends in.
