Thanksgiving is approaching, a time for families and friends to come together and talk about the joys of life they are grateful for. With new dishes constantly being added to dinner tables every year, many people get the opportunity to try a vast number of sides and dishes. Everyone shares differing opinions regarding Thanksgiving dishes, so we took this opportunity to question students on a game of This or That? This or That? is a game where students are given two options, and have to choose from one.
We first started off by asking junior Nelah Thompson if she would rather eat grandma’s cooking or mom’s cooking and she responded by saying “Mom’s for the flavor, grandma’s for creativity.” Everyone can always love a good dish, but it’s the love that goes into it that makes it more special. Isabella Gill, of twelfth grade, claims she would rather “eat a fresh meal every time” when asked if she would rather eat leftovers for 3 days, or a fresh meal every time. Fresh meals may always be good, but heated up leftovers always hit different.
We switched up the topic just a bit and took Sara Gregg, of eleventh grade, to the topic of Black Friday shopping. When given the choice to go Black Friday shopping, or sleep in all Thanksgiving break, Sara chose Black Friday shopping, claiming that Black Friday “is one of her most favorite times of the year!”
We concluded our final round of This or That? by asking Anna Sherman, of twelfth grade, by asking her if she would rather be apart of Thanksgiving photos or take the photos, and Anna responded “I would rather take the photos, because I am not a big fan of pictures, but I always love a family picture!”
